The Benoni Country Club started initially as a 9-hole golf course in 1905. Three years later the course was expanded to its full compliment of 18 holes. Today Benoni Country Club is well known as a first class golfing facility with its meandering tree lined fairways and greens. However the Benoni Country Club has greatly developed its facilities from purely a golf club.

This woodland type course offers good test of golf with no water hazards on the first nine. The second nine is played on the other side of the road with the par 3 16th next to the lake, one of their holes. Local member Morry Nestadt founded this golf club with its huge club house with one of the biggest bars in Benoni. Well stocked pro-shop and good practice facilities. |

ERPM Golf Club came into being in 1903 with just three golfing holes. In 1906, 18 holes were completed. Situated in Boksburg on the East Rand, the course is 10km from Johannesburg International Airport, and is set in park like surroundings. This par 72 course had a SAGA championship rating of 72 and a club rating of 71 in 1997. Rated among the top 50 courses in South Africa, the ERPM Golf Club course had a total revamp in 1993 and today, with its new greens, is regarded as a good test of golf. |
