Location
The fertile green valleys of the Cape Winelands are surrounded by proud mountain ranges. Towns and villages have many historic homesteads and monuments, and every so often fruit orchards are to be seen, whose produce may be found in all corners of the world. It is the Mediterranean climate and winter rainfall of the south-western Cape that produces some of the best wines in the country.
The rich, fertile soils along the Breede River and especially the areas of Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, have become world famous for their whites, reds, sherries, ports and brandies.
Directions
From Cape Town travel on the N1 towards Paarl. At Worcester turn right on the R60 where you will pass Robertson and Ashton and then continue to Montagu. Once in Montagu turn left at the last turn-off in the town (at the Evelyn-Springs Hotel signboard). At the 4-way stop (Seven Eleven shop), turn right and continue on this road where the golf course will be on the right hand side in Bath Street just before the Evelyn-Springs Hotel.
