The cosmopolitan Durban is the economic hub of KwaZulu Natal and one of the best holiday destinations you'll find. The provincial administrative functions are shared by Pietermaritzburg and Ulundi - historical towns depicting the history of Zulu, Brit and Boer.
The province, however, offers you a large number of interesting small towns and villages, rich with a cultural mix of African and European and a history of many struggles and wars.
Travel on the north-coast highway (N2). Take the off-ramp into Tongaat (M3 Watson highway) at the tollgate. Continue until main Road and turn right and then follow the road while following the signs on your left hand side.
